Floral Cluster & Background Stamping | Card

Hello everyone,
I have a new card to share after a long time. I made this card using a couple of stamp sets from Altenew. I have also done pencil colouring on the florals. Here's a look at what I have made:

I started by stamping some solid floral images from the Golden Garden set by Altenew on Neenah Solar White 110lbs cardstock. I just picked up few random images and stamped them using Sea Glass ink.

Next, I started working on the main focal of my card. I stamped the flowers from the Wild Hibiscus set on white cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black ink, coloured them using Prismacolor pencils, and then fussy cut them out.

The foliage is from the Golden Garden set by Altenew. I stamped the leaves and fillers on white cardstock, lightly coloured them, and then fussy cut them out and arranged it on my card panel.

The sentiment has been heat embossed in white on black cardstock, and is from the Amazing You set. I love the sentiment and think it is very encouraging.

The little rose on the bottom is from the Amazing You set again. I have tried to do some shading on it, though I definitely need to get better at colouring! I also added some black enamel dots to complete my card design.

I popped the flowers and some of the foliage on foam dots for dimension. Here's a closer shot:

I matted the card panel onto some pink cardstock, and then finally adhered it on an A2 white card base. Here's my finished card!

I created this card to play along with this month's Altenew Inspiration Challenge. The colours for this month's challenge are very soft and pretty, and I wanted to create something using them.

I hope you liked today's card. Let me know what you think of it! Thank you so much for stopping by :)

Spellbinders Guest Post | Three

Hello everyone!
I am sharing my final post I made as a Guest Blogger on the Spellbinders blog. I have had an absolutely amazing time working with the 3D Vignettes Die Collection by Amazing Paper Grace. You can check out my first and second post using these dies on the Spellbinders blog HERE and HERE. The designs are so versatile, and can be used for all occasions starting from Weddings to Birthdays.
Today, I have two cards to share. The first card is an anniversary card, while the second is a baby shaker card.

To create this card, I first die cut the Tiera Rondelle Etched dies out of some gold foil cardstock, and backed it over white cardstock to make it sturdy. I also adhered the coordinating inlay piece left over after cutting the Tiera Rondelle frame.

Next, I worked on the sentiment for my card - '5th Anniversary". I die cut the number 5 from the Filigree Numbers Etched dies. They were die cut twice, once from gold foil cardstock, and the second time from some white cardstock, which was later inked to make it a light blue color. The 'Th" was created in the exact same manner, and is a die from the same set. The word anniversary has been stamped using black dye ink, and is from the Giving Occasions stamp set.

The florals are handmade by me using the Cinch and Go Flowers III Etched dies. They were cut from White Foamiran sheets, and lightly colored using dye inks to give a soft look. The leaves are from the Cinch and Go Flowers III Etched dies set as well, and were also cut from Foamiran and colored.

For the small filler flowers, I used the mini flower die from the Petite Double Bow and Flowers die set. They were cut from White Foamiran sheets as well,  and then lightly colored. I even made small rose buds using the same die. The dies are very versatile, and you do have a lot of possibilities with each set.

Here are some pictures showing you a closer look at the flowers.

I adhered the card panel to a light blue coloured A2 card base, and my card was done.

My next card is a baby themed shaker card. I thought it would be fun to make a shaker card using these dies, and I hope you like the idea too!

I started by die cutting the Dome from the Grand Dome 3D Card Etched dies from some yellow polka dots pattern paper. This was layered over the Grand Arch from the Grand Arch 3D Card Etched dies

The yellow intricate fence is die cut from fence included in  the Ornamental Arch Etched dies.

The white stork die cut is from the Bundle of Joy Etched dies. The stork comes with a frame, but I snipped off that frame, so that I could just get the image of the stork and the baby bundle. They have been paper pieced with a pink polka dots pattern paper. The rattle and the baby feet are also from the same set, and have been lightly colored using dye inks.

The small flower cluster is again made using the dies from the Cinch and Go Flowers III Etched Dies. The flowers have been cut from Foamiran sheets and inked using dye inks, while the leaves are cut out of white cardstock and then colored and embossed.

The sentiment has been stamped on a strip of white cardstock. I have used the sentiment stamp from the Giving Occasions stamp set to stamp it using black dye ink.

I created the shaker using some gold and clear sequins, and my card was done!

Spellbinders March Card Kit | Cards

Hello everyone!
I am very excited about today's post as this is something I have never worked with before. I have always been fascinated with the idea of Card Kits and when Spellbinders reached out to me to ask if I would be interested to create some cards using their March Card Kit, I was really thrilled. The March Card kit is available for purchase on the Spellbinders website and you can find it HERE. The kit is jam packed with lots of dies, cardstocks, pattern papers, card bases and matching envelopes, and gorgeous embellishments. You can create 10 or more cards with each kit and they are absolute value for money!

Here's a look at my cards using it.

I will talk about each card one by one. Let's start with card number one. This also happens to be my favorite out of the whole lot :D

To start with, I took one of the pre-scored A2 card bases included in the kit. Next, I layered a piece of pink cardstock on the card base. I then pulled out some coordinating embellishments which would work for my card design. I absolutely love clustering florals, and it was really fun to coordinate the different elements together.

I first adhered the clear frame sticker and then added the central pink flower over it. I love how they have included a mix of handmade flowers as well die cut ones in the kit, so you have a lot of variety. Also as you can see, the sentiment has a gold foil finish to it. Foil is always difficult to photograph as it never shows up well in pictures :(

I then added a big die-cut piece above the pink flower. To add some more layering to my flowers, I adhered few flowers which were die-cut from purple textured cardstock using the mini flower die included in the kit. I also added some green leaves to complete my cluster.

Next, I added bits of the flower petals as accents to further embellish my card. They were also cut using the same flower die from gold foil cardstock.

The sentiment was a gold foil sticker included in the kit, which was then matted on to some purple cardstock, again from the kit itself. To finish off my card, I add few white pearls.

Here is a side view of the card to show you the dimension. This card came together in no time, and every single element on this card is from the kit. (They even include foam squares and foam tape in the kit, so there is no need to even use your own adhesive. Isn't that so awesome!)

Moving on to card number two. The colours I have used on this one are not something I work very often with, so it was nice to work with these colour tones :)

I again started with an A2 white card base. I layered a purple pattern paper over it, and then again layered a teal cardstock over the pattern paper.

For this card, I first added the clear acetate sticker on the panel and then die-cut a rectangular frame using the die included in the kit. It was cut using gold foil cardstock ( included in the kit). I popped the frame on foam dots for some dimension.

Next, I adhered two die cuts to create my focal on the right hand side.

For my focal on the left hand side, I die-cut the florals using the flower dies in the kit out of mauve cardstock. I also added some hand-painted green leaves.

The sentiment is again a gold foil sticker, and was matted on pink textured cardstock. Added a few pearls and this card was done!

My final card using this kit. This one is a bit different from the other two cards, as I have mixed in handmade flowers as well as die cuts.

To create this card, I created my own card base using the white textured cardstock included in the kit. Next, I adhered a strip of pattern paper.

For the focal element of my card, I die cut the heart frame multiple times from white cardstock and stacked them one on top of the other to create a raised look. In the center of the frame, I adhered a die cut piece. I also added two gorgeous floral die cuts to compliment the frame. If you see closely, you will find that I have tucked in an acetate doily behind my floral pieces.

I adhered a gold foil banner below the heart frame. It was die cut using the banner die included in the kit. The sentiment is a gold foil sticker which was matted on black cardstock.

I also made my own handmade flowers using the flower dies from the kit. I die cut them out of white cardstock, colored the centers using inks, and embossed them to give them dimension. I then added pearls to the centers of each flower. The green fillers were also made in the same way. You can see the foil on the leaves and the sticker in this picture.

To finish off the card, I adhered three hearts which were left over bits after die cutting the circle heart frame. Don't they look so pretty?!

I still have a lot of elements left over from the kit and could easily create another 4 - 5 cards using them. Each kit is very well designed and would work for all style of cardmakers. I encourage you to check out this month's card kit which you can find on the Spellbinders website HERE. Below is a picture the contents of the kit. Picture has been taken from the Spellbinders website only for reference.
Before you go, I wanted to share pictures of the card kit which have been clicked by me :) The kit comes beautifully packaged, in a sturdy cardboard box. Here's how it looks :

And here's a look at the contents. Didn't I mention earlier that the kit is full of gorgeous things! :)

That's it from my side for today. I hope you like the cards I shared. I would love to hear if any particular card is your favourite! Thank you for stopping by!

Spellbinders Guest Post | Two

Hi everyone!
This is Hussena from Quill and Punch Works, and I am super thrilled to be back again for my second post as a Guest Blogger this month at the Spellbinders blog. In my last post, I shared an ornate, layered floral card and a favor bag, Today, I will be sharing a card I made using the new range of 3D Vignettes Die Collection by Amazing Paper Grace. The dies are extremely gorgeous, and can make any card stand out.

I have created a floral, birthday card for today's post. To start with, I adhered a pink polka dots pattern paper on my card base. I then die cut the Grand Dome 3D Etched dies to cut out the intricate dome piece.

Next, I adhered a circle cut out of the same polka dots pattern paper to the centre of the dome. Then, I cut out the ornate tag twice, once from white cardstock, and the other using gold foil cardstock so that I could offset the white die cut piece onto the gold foil one. It is a part of the same Grand Dome Etched Dies set. The sentiment stamp is from the Giving Occasion stamp set.

Flowers are something I can't do without on my projects, and I had to incorporate them on this card too. I created my own flowers by using the Cinch and Go Flowers III Etched dies. The flowers were die cut from white cardstock, inked, and then embossed and shaped to give them a dimensional look. The leaves were also made the same way, and are a part of the same die set. The pale pink bow was made using the dies from the Petite Double Bow and Flowers Etched dies.

I also added some pink fillers and golden pollens to accentuate my project.

Here is a closer look at the floral arrangement. I created the main cluster on the left, and a tiny one on the right to balance my card design.

The card is very dimensional as you can tell, and has lots of layers!
To finish my card, I added two corner die cuts from the Tiara Rondelle Etched Dies. The dies look really beautiful, and give a nice, finishing touch to my card.

Guest Designing for Tubby Craft

Hello everyone!
Today I am sharing three projects I made for my guest design post over at the Tubby Craft blog. I have used their Buttercup set to create my projects. I absolutely love working with floral images, and the Buttercup set has some really pretty florals which are perfect for coloring and layering.

To create my card, I first stamped a bunch of flowers and leaves from the Buttercup set using black dye ink on watercolor paper.

After stamping the images, I watercolored them using my Zig Clean Color Brush Markers in shades of pinks and blues for the flowers, and green for the leaves. Then I fussy cut the images and put them aside.

Once the images were ready, it was time to work on my background and card base. For this, I took a card panel roughly measuring 4 1/2 inches by 5 inches and created a die-cut window in the center of it using a Spellbinders die.

Next, I did some stenciling on my card base using a yellow ink and an iCraft Lattice stencil. I kept my stenciling confined only to the center of my card where the die cut window would be placed. Then, I did my floral arrangement using the previously fussy cut images on my die cut window. Finally, I heat embossed my sentiment (which is from the same Buttercup set), on a strip of black cardstock using Super Fine White embossing powder. As a final touch, I added some paint splatters using black acrylic paint.

Next up is a tag  I created using the same Buttercup set. I have kept it a single layer one, and have done some masking and pencil coloring on this.

To create this tag, I first stamped and masked the floral images from this set on the base of my die cut tag. Then, using my Prismacolor pencils, I did some simple coloring of the images.

Once my stamping and coloring were done, I added a thin strip of black and white striped pattern paper above my image, as well as a thin strip of gold foil paper to further embellish it. Finally, I stamped the sentiment above the foil strip which is from the Buttercup set.

My final project is also a gift tag, and here I have created a layered tag.

To create this tag, I first die cut my base using a shaped die. I have used two tags here so that the recipient can write the message on the inside. To embellish the front of the tag, I used an ornate frame in the center which was die cut using a Spellbinders die and colored using Inka Gold Old Gold.

I used some stamped and colored, florals and leaves from the Buttercup set to create my floral cluster. I then added my heat embossed sentiment on the side of the frame. Finally, I added some clear sequins to finish off my tag.

I hope you like my projects created using the Buttercup set and are inspired to create using this set.

If you have any doubts or queries regarding my projects, please leave me a comment, and I will get back to you soon.
